Episode 8 Common Gospel Progressions I

Common Gospel Progressions, I have experienced in the short time I have been playing the bass guitar. A progression can be described as a sequence of chords.

 

 

The Chord Progressions discussed in Common Gospel Progressions I, are based on the popular 2-5-1 commonly used in Jazz music. In the video I want to call your attention to the 1-6-2-5-1, and then adding one note to create the 1-3-6-2-5-1. You can utilize these progressions in many popular contemporary worship songs.

 

Here are a few different ways I finger the 1-6-2-5-1:
